In 2019, the association LAME (Luthiers Archetiers Mirecourt Événement) is born. A non-profit-making association, its aim is to promote contemporary luther and archaeology in France and abroad; at the same time, it wishes to encourage collaboration between musicians, artisans and other actors in musical life. Founded on the occasion of the fiftieth anniversary of the National School of Luther in Mirecourt by members of two French professional associations, GLAAF and ALADFI, it has a vocation to pursue its actions through various cultural events.
Les fondateurs :
- Le GLAAF (Groupement des Luthiers et Archetiers d’Art de France) was created in 1960 with the aim of promoting modern instrumental craftsmanship while working to safeguard the heritage of ancient instruments. The Glaaf is at the origin of the creation of the National School of Luther in Mirecourt.
- L’ALADFI (Association des Luthiers et Archetiers pour le Développement de la Facture Instrumentale)was created in 1982 under the impulse of a group of luthiers and archeologists both restorers and manufacturers, united by the will to propose another approach to the trade, making their work known to musicians, promote contemporary instrumental craftsmanship and encourage the practice of music.
